Position Summary
The Residential Electrical Service Manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and growing our service department. We are a high-performing, process-driven electrical company known for premium service, strong culture, and 4.9 star customer satisfaction rating. This role combines hands-on service leadership with dispatch operations. You’ll coach technicians, drive KPIs, and keep the board running ensuring every call is matched to the right tech at the right time. This position reports directly to the owner with no corporate red tape.
- Lead, mentor, and coach residential service technicians to hit individual and team targets.
- Provide real-time field support, troubleshooting guidance, and pricing assistance.
- Drive department performance metrics including revenue, conversion rate, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all work meets NEC code and JDV quality standards.
- Review completed jobs for accuracy, scope, and profitability.
- Handle escalated service issues and customer concerns with professionalism.
- Collaborate with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and training new technicians.
- Manage the daily dispatch board—assign, reassign, and optimize technician routes for maximum efficiency.
- Schedule service calls, maintenance visits, and follow-ups based on priority, location, and technician skill set.
- Monitor technician availability, job status, and real-time progress throughout the day.
- Communicate with customers to confirm appointments, provide arrival windows, and handle rescheduling.
- Coordinate emergency and same-day service requests, balancing urgency with existing commitments.
- Track and maintain accurate records in ServiceTitan.
- Serve as the central point of communication between field technicians, customers, and office staff.
- Identify scheduling bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to increase daily capacity.

Qualifications
- Strong residential electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Solid understanding of NEC and service best practices.
- Experience with service pricing and option-based selling.
- Proven ability to coordinate schedules, logistics, and multi-tech operations.
- Leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication skills—comfortable with customers, technicians, and ownership alike.
- Proficiency with dispatch/scheduling.
- Professional presence and a calm, solutions-first mindset under pressure.
