I contacted JDV to install a 50 amp line for an electric range. The line had to pass behind a 13' set of built in cabinets and wooden countertop that could not be moved. The cabinets were on a cement slab at the back of our row home. There was a slight access on one side of the slab through the basement. It seemed a monumental task to me. Piro (electrician dispatched by JDV) was on time to appointment. He was friendly, well-motivated and professional in all our interactions. I felt clear at every step along the way as to the work being done and why. There was no pressure to upsell on options. Piro stayed in contact with his management team along the way. The work was completed in a timely fashion on the first trip. The work was done well and with a guarantee. The office called to confirm my satisfaction with the work.

We’re Here to Answer Your Questions

We provide residential electrical repairs, panel services, wiring and rewiring, outlets and circuits, lighting, ceiling fans, EV charging, inspections, safety upgrades, and more.

Yes. We work on older electrical systems as well as homes that have been renovated, expanded, or updated over the years.

Deteriorating wiring, recurring electrical problems, flickering lights, burning smells, two-prong outlets, and difficulty handling modern electrical demands can all indicate that an inspection is needed.

Electrical systems are often updated in stages. A renovation may add new wiring to one part of the home while older wiring remains elsewhere. An inspection can determine what types of wiring are present and whether any require attention.

An older panel doesn’t automatically need replacement. However, limited capacity, a lack of breaker space, recurring electrical problems, or plans to add major electrical loads may make an upgrade appropriate.

Repeated trips can result from an overloaded circuit, faulty breaker, electrical fault, or another problem within the system. We can identify the cause and determine the appropriate repair.

Often, yes. We can check whether the existing circuits can safely support additional outlets or whether a new circuit should be installed.

Possibly. A Level 2 charger typically requires a dedicated circuit and can add significant demand to your electrical system. We can evaluate your panel and available capacity before installation.

A renovation is a good time to add needed circuits and outlets, improve lighting, update wiring, and address electrical problems before walls and ceilings are closed.

An electrical inspection can be useful when an older system hasn’t been evaluated in years, you’re buying a home, planning renovations, or experiencing recurring electrical problems.

Yes. We can handle new circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical connections required for a home addition.

Yes. If you’re dealing with an urgent electrical problem, contact JDV so we can help determine the safest next step.
